Public Space Evaluation

Finally it was time for our public space performance and I personally felt confident, although as a group we were nervous because things were quickly changed last minute but we knew we could pull it off.

Beginning our performance I was confident, I felt like my facial expressions were there and I felt like my walk was clear.
Getting into the performance I got nervous, trying to get my tocs right was something I wanted to get right so bad.
-the levels
-the connection and disconnection of an object
It was very important to me as it was one of the main points of our physical theatre classes; learning it for the past few weeks.
While performing I personally think I lost my facial expressions and exaggerations with my body to the way I moved.
I think as an individual I should have focused on making sure i stayed the way I began throughout, not losing my facial expressions and not losing the exaggeration in my walk.
Although I think that I did quite well for my first time and mime. I was confident and I knew what I was doing; I did not forget what I had to do.

As a group we also did well, after changing a bit last minute we did quite good. Our enthusiasm as a group throughout the process; rehearsals and the performance, was 100% and I really enjoyed being with the group I was working with.
During the performance we all understood what to do; none of us forgot, our feed back on it wasn't bad, but we should've done some things better.
One of our feedbacks from Eloise was to show more of our characters, to not go straight to freezing and let the next character enter, but to show more of the characters personality by doing something for a minute at least and I agree. I do think that we were to fast with getting our characters in and sitting them down and freezing for the next character to enter, it would've been nice to show who our character is in more depth.
Also although we set up the space well by having two 'seating areas' to make the most of a restaurant look, we didn't make the most of the space we had. Instead of walking straight to the 'host' and then straight to our 'table' we should've made the way people act in a restaurant and what they do there more realistic. Walk around more around the tables, look around more and maybe get up to go somewhere else in the space. This would've made it more fun to watch and give more of an effect.
Even though we should've done some things better I still think it went really well, as a group our tocs, our levels, for example where the table was; we made sure it was levelled under our breasts, and remembering where 'furniture' was, the table again for example; we walked around it as if the circular table was actually there, all went really well. We used our imagination and our memory.
