LAUGHING WILD

My contemporary monolgue did go better than I expected it to go. I gave emotion, projection and a character. I feel like I was more confident than I thought I would be because normally performing alone scares me a little. I personally think performing the shakepseare monolgue before hand really gave a boost to my contemporary monologue because I wanted to prove I can do better than the last one.

I sat down and stood up just as I rehearsed it, I tried to show how stressed I was in my body language; I had a pen in my hand to show how fidgity, nervous and angry the woman is, by shaking it and moving it around a lot.

Even though I put some emotion in, I do feel like i was not confident enough to give it my ALL with the emotions. I didn't shout like the women in the clips did or exagerate when I cried, but I did try my best.

I did miss a line or two and I also may have paused a few times but I don't think it was too noticable.

I was pleased with the preperation for this monologue and the rehearsals and I was pleased with the outcome. I know what I need to consider for future monolgues and what I need to think about to make it a better performance.

My feeback from Eloise was positive and I did get a Merit for it, so I am proud.
